Flutist at the Theatro Municipal Symphony
Orchestra of Rio de Janeiro
Eugênio Kundert Ranevsky, was born in Rio de Janeiro, graduated in flute and obtained the diploma of the Master's course in Music, both under the guidance of Prof. Celso Woltzenlogel at the UFRJ School of Music. In 2000 his Master's dissertation was published in the form of a book “The Embochure in the Transverse Flute - how to understand and dominate”, through the Villa-Lobos School of Music and later the magazine Magníficas published an article commented on the same.
Of the extension courses, festivals and masterclasses in which he participated, highlights the masterclass of Prof. Aurèle Nicolet.
Since 1982 he has been acting as a piccolist and flutist, going through all the Orchestras of Rio de Janeiro, being the Symphony Orchestra of Rádio MEC (currently Symphony Orchestra of UFF), Youth Symphony Orchestra of Funarj, Brazilian Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Petrobrás Symphony and since 2002, through a public contest, the Symphonic Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro, of which it is the 1st. flutist.
As a chamber musician, among so many works, the Duos stand out with the pianists Kátia Balloussier and later with Nadge Breide. He performed with the Youth Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Rádio MEC, Philharmonic Orchestra of Espírito Santo, Symphony Orchestra of EM (UFRJ) and, finally, in october of 2021, with the Symphony Orchestra of the Municipal Theatre of Rio de Janeiro, conducted by Maestro Ira Levin.
He performed in several important auditoriums in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Brasília, Belo Horizonte, across northern Germany and in two editions in the USA.
Flutist in camera groups, concerts and recordings
As a teacher, he taught at the Brazilian Conservatory of Music at Ilha do Governador, was a substitute flute teacher at the UFRJ School of Music, in two editions of the Winter Music Festival in Domingos Martins (ES), participated in an edition of PIM ( Integration Program for Music), in Vassouras (RJ), and taught masterclass, in Belo Horizonte, about his book.
He joined the teaching staff at the Villa – Lobos School of Music as a flute teacher for 26 years, contributing to the training of new flutists.
Of his participation in CDs he mentions the joint recording with the group Os Flautistas do Rio, released and sold out in the Japanese market in 1992 and relaunched in 2000 in the Brazilian market with significant representativeness. With this same group, he went to Orlando (USA), in 1995, at the invitation of the National Flute Association Inc., to promote the CD and our Brazilian music.
With an expressive performance in the area of popular music, Eugenio Ranevsky participated in recordings in the TV Globo Orchestra to make soundtracks, as well as performed and recorded with Edu Lobo, Maestro Chiquinho de Moraes, Rildo Hora, Caymmi Family, Cazuza, Guilherme Arantes, Roberto Carlos, Caetano Veloso, Fagner, Fafá de Belém, Hermeto Pascoal and recently with musician and composer Marcos Valle.
